How MetaverseNFT.art uses Permanent Names, IPFS, and optional NFT minting.
How does Permanent Names verification work?
You enter your Permanent Name (example: ~yourname). We call the Permanent Names API. If it’s registered, you are marked verified and your marketplace handle displays as that ~name.
Is every listing an NFT?
No. Some items are IPFS-only (digitized art + Web3 metadata), while others are mintable or already minted NFTs. Listings clearly show their status before purchase.
What does IPFS metadata do for collectors?
It provides a durable, content-addressed record of the artwork and its attributes. When minting is enabled, NFTs can point back to this metadata for improved provenance.
What if the browser blocks the API call?
If CORS blocks direct calls to the Permanent Names domain, install the PHP proxy endpoint provided below and enable “Use Proxy”. The website will then call your own domain instead.
